Adv. Lior Shimony served as an associate at several of the largest and most prestigious law firms in Tel Aviv, managing their commercial litigation departments.

Lior interned at the Weinroth law firm in Tel Aviv after completing his LLB and LLM degrees from Bar Ilan University.  During his studies, Lior served as a research assistant to the Dean of the Faculty of Law, conducted research for the Israeli Democracy Institute, and sat on its behalf on Knesset advisory committees on legislation.

In 2012 – 2018, Adv. Lior Shimony served as presiding judge and Vice-President of the District Disciplinary Court of the Bar Association in the Tel Aviv and Central District, as well as the presiding judge of the National Disciplinary Court of the Bar Association. In this capacity, he handled significant and momentous disciplinary cases, with his rulings often cited in higher courts.  Additionally, as a member of the Disciplinary Court presidency, he contributed to drafting court procedures and bylaws.

Lior has extensive and diverse experience in the practice of commercial and civil law, derived from the various positions he has held. Notably, he has represented the Strauss Elite Group in proceedings against various entities in the economy, and has handled tender and administrative law cases for one of the largest corporations in Israel. Lior has also represented the Henkel Soad Group in Israel in cases involving distribution and retail disputes, and Tami4 in fair competition and intellectual property cases.

Additionally, Lior has participated in the representation of the renowned Israeli singer and songwriter Arik Einstein in copyright infringement proceedings, and has been involved in actions against rights organizations, rights clearance, rights regulation and similar cases.
